3D Toolkit

Transforming static UI elements into powerful narrative tools. We established a three-dimensional library containing a functional core style alongside playful brand expressions.

Library of Components
We unified Meta’s approach to 3D elements to ensure consistency and cohesion across its brands. This required a dynamic toolkit with a unified core style for dimensional UI, and guidelines for composition, motion, lighting, and materiality.

Material Palette
Each brand within the Meta ecosystem has its own distinct strategy, character and interactions. We designed an approach to communicate the brands’ individual superpowers, while maintaining a cohesive set of materials and motion behaviours that reinforce the user experience.

Spatial Layouts
To enable elements to be integrated realistically into a scene, we designed an adaptive three-dimensional grid with rules and guidance around placement and lighting. This creates a natural focus and ensures compositions feel like an extension of the Meta ecosystem.
