Can we measure the impact of design on our wellbeing?
A public experiment by Google connecting Neurology and Aesthetics at Milan Design Week.
Participants wore bracelets equipped with biometric sensors and embarked on a journey through a series of unique and stimulating interior spaces.
Each room was designed with its own set of lighting, sounds, scents and textures, engineering atmospheres that varied from intimate to playful.
Their neuroaesthetic responses were recorded and transformed into watercoloured data-visualisations at the end of their visit.
Each painted a strikingly personal portrait of experience across all spaces — A bespoke report of what suits each person’s needs.
Design shouldn’t just create beautiful environments, it must help us live better.
We’re excited to pioneer interfaces that do & feel more — using emerging technologies to evolve future ways of communication and play.
